The Memorial Weekend Lineup

We’re stoked to kick off the summer with an epic Memorial Weekend music lineup that’s bringing the unique flavor of New York’s downtown crème de la crème out east!

Ranging from downtown kids to world renowned globetrotters that are relied on for delivering NYC Grit to the far edges of the world, this summer’s music line up will feature some of the best names in music, fashion, and culture and our Memorial Weekend DJs will set the tone for the rest of the season perfectly.

To start things off we’ll have sets from Louie XIV, Ian Mellencamp, Kristin Gallegos, and Kristine Barilli. Get to know them below!

Louie XIV | Friday, May 26th | 5PM-9PM

Louie is a DJ, producer, and writer who was born and raised in NYC. Louie spins regularly at many of new York City’s premiere venues and clubs including The Standard, Gold Bar, The DL, and Up & Down. His private clientele list includes Vanity Fair Magazine, The New Yorker, The MOMA, Maison Margiela, Fendi and Topshop.

Ian Mellencamp | Saturday, May 27th | 3PM – 7PM

Ian describes his style as “Frank Zappa meets Andy Warhol.” With free-flowing long hair, soft facial features, and a cut figure, he’s not too far off. Mellencamp says this with an ironic chuckle, though. Despite being the nephew of Rock and Roll Hall of Famer John Mellencamp, and a successful model, he doesn’t take himself too seriously. This is made all the more apparent by the title of his EP, “Free AF.”

Kristin Gallegos | Sunday, May 28th | 3PM – 7PM

Kristin Gallegos is a Photographer, Creative Director, Makeup Artist, and DJ based in NYC. After working as a makeup artist with some of the world’s top talent, she decided to pick up photography as a hobby and began shooting her friends as muses.  That hobby very quickly developed into another career as a photographer and her work can be seen in magazines such as Playboy, Teen Vogue, and Purple.fr. As a DJ she specializes in vinyl and spins 60’s-90’s Rock and Roll, Soul, Disco, Punk, Post Punk, French 60’s Pop, Brit Pop, New Wave, etc. Kristin has played all over NYC and has regular gigs at Rose Bar at The Gramercy Park Hotel, Soho Grand Hotel, The Roxy Hotel, Le Bain, Boom Boom Room and Ludlow House, amongst others.

Kristine Barrilli | Monday, May 29th | 12PM – 4PM

There are DJs, and then there are people like Kristine Barilli, who live, eat, breathe, and sleep record culture (buying, selling, and playing). In fact, born and raised in The City That Never Sleeps, Barilli does a pretty amazing job of keeping everyone else up at all hours, thanks to a vinyl collection she’s literally curated from the far corners of the world, recently making treks to the largest record fair in the world (Utrecht, Netherlands ) and going on buying trips in Tokyo and Bangkok.

Be sure to check out the rest of the summer’s music events via our calendar as it updates. We’ll see you poolside!
