“10 Questions” is all we need to get to know Whalebone Mag’s Editor In Chief and self proclaimed “funny looking kid with a passion for writing, surfing, eating and beer.”

Pat_Fallon_SurfLT: What’s your deal?

PF: I am Editor In Chief of Whalebone Magazine – your favorite new publication for the East End.

LT: Why Montauk?

PF: I was born and raised in Montauk. After attending Flagler college in the nation’s oldest city, and working in Florida for a few years, the comfortable notion of returning after being away for a while along with the launch of Whalebone Mag, brought me back to the homeland.

LT: Long or short?

PF: Short in delivery, but not in heart.

LT: In your opinion – what is the best or worst thing about Montauk?

PF: Worst: Crossing the stretch heading westbound…I’m sure you can relate. Best: Long sessions with friends during hurricane season.

LT: Low Tide or High Time?

PF: High times during low tide. Low tide going high = barrels with friends.

LT: What is your favorite place to eat or drink in Montauk

PF: Eat: Jeez I can barely choose where to get lunch. We are blessed with great options locally. Drink: Gig Shack on my way to Liar’s.

LT: If you could instantly realize one wish, what would it be?

PF: Have every issue for the summer done…we have a long but exciting road ahead, and I’m anxious to see how it all turns out!

LT/PF: Before I sleep I always _eat cookies…and prepare for tomorrow_.

LT: Favorite artist? Why?

Wow, that’s a really tough one. Quentin Tarantino has always been an inspiration of mine. His brilliance and intensity, combined with his personality and ability to find comedy in the most serious of situations is something not many artists, regardless of medium can achieve, and I am envious of that as a writer. It fascinates me.

LT/PF: I love to: _LIVE everyday to the fullest_ because _what else do we have in life to do_.
